Broadcom BCM53112 Low-power Fast-Ethernet RoboSwitch™-2

Broadcom BCM53112 Low-power RoboSwitch™-2 is a highly integrated fast-ethernet switch designed for high-end FE applications. The BCM53112 features eight 10/100BASE-T ports (with integrated EPHYs), four 100FX/1000FX SGMII ports and additional two 1GbE/2.5GbE SGMII+ ports. The Switches are also equipped with high-end forwarding engines that are required in advanced applications. These engines include an intelligent QoS mechanism, a flexible, compact filter processor (CFP), sophisticated VLAN manipulation capability, security features, and packet synchronization for time-sensitive networks.

The BCM53112 is ideal for Industrial applications that demand advanced Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Audio-Video-Bridging (AVB) support. The device can also be used for next-generation 100Mbps hybrid-speed SMB solutions that require combinations of 100M/1GE/2.5GE ports and either unmanaged or lightly managed from GUI or the cloud. The BCM53112 Switches are designed based on the 28nm RoboSwitch™ architecture that integrates a powerful ARM Cortex-M7 CPU. The ARM Cortex-M7 CPU enables customers to design complete SMB and Industrial switches without relying on external processors. The BCM53112 can be purchased with different software packages designed for many applications and can be used with basic unmanaged software to design unmanaged switches that require no advanced functionality or VLAN segregation.
