KYOCERA AVX 9175 Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board IDC Connectors

KYOCERA AVX 9175 Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) meet the harsh automotive and industrial market applications for connecting individual wires directly to a PCB ranging from 28AWG to 26AWG. The 9175 components are tested to automotive levels of shock, vibration, and temperature cycling to prove their reliability and robustness. These KYOCERA AVX connectors are used to bring power and signal onto the PCB or to daisy-chain multiple boards together in a long string.

By changing the insulator from acting as a connector body and more like a contact carrier, the insulator becomes the wire location and insertion aid without any special tools. The wire is inserted into the cap (no stripping required) and then pressed down to provide a secure gas-tight termination. While the IDC contact provides a gas-tight connection to the conductor, the housing grabs the insulation, providing a positive strain relief in harsh conditions.
